Count What Counts

Porch

This is where we slow down and think about work, and all the stuff that came with it.

Before we change direction, it helps to understand what we’re bringing along.

The Mouth #2

Pause

You’re not wasting time.
You’re thinking. There’s a difference.

A lot of people rush into things because they’re scared to stop moving. Then six months later they’re tired, broke, irritated, and pretending it was all part of the plan.

Pause for a second.

Check the mail.
Eat something.
Take the shower.
Walk the dog.

You do not have to figure your entire life out tonight.
You just need enough clarity to make the next good move.

One little stupid inch at a time.
That’s still how things get rebuilt.

Still Looking. Still Wondering.

“I see many people still searching for work the way they always have, even as the world around them quietly shifts.”

“The work people expect to find doesn’t always exist, leaving some of us feeling unseen, stalled, or unsure which way to turn.”

“This isn’t about failing or falling behind. It’s about noticing that the rules are changing faster than our language can keep up — and seeing that clearly is the first step toward moving forward.”

“I’m writing this to make space for clear thinking — for myself, and for anyone else who feels this too.”
