Worth Noting

Renting and reselling are not limited to expensive items. Value may come from usefulness, timing, condition, convenience, or access. The same item may be sold, rented repeatedly, repaired and resold, separated into parts, or recycled for value.

Availability beats intention.

Jargon

Arbitrage — Buying something where it’s undervalued and selling it where it’s understood or needed more.  Turn Rate — How quickly an item sells after you list it. Faster turns usually matter more than higher margins. Dead Stock — Items that don’t sell and tie up cash, space, or attention.   Time Cost — The Value of the hours spent sourcing, cleaning, listing, and meeting buyers.
